BEST Memorial Day Weekend EVER!

I have had such an AMAZING weekend, I'm so HAPPY!

Date night with Dj, baby free for 24hrs.

Short but sweet visit with Brieanna, she was in town just for a day.

Took our FIRST road trip with Jayden to Mountain View to visit my sister in-law Mindi. Had a delicious BBQ & relaxed! AND JAYDEN--this boy--LAUGHED like I never heard before!! Totally literally belly laughing out loud, I laugh every time I hear it. (Check out my family blog for video)

A memorial (recreated Rj's) BBQ with just Dj and I and had wonderful family time just the three of us.

Jayden and I took our first mommy and son bath together and he LOVED it!! He was kicking and smiling, trying to reach his little rubber ducky I had in the tub with us. He's gonna be a little fish like mommy! No pics for that memory haha.

Incredible weekend, I can't get over how much non-stop fun we had!

Date Night

We had another date night last night (more like 24hrs!) and had soooooo much fun!

Jayden spent the night at Grandma & Grandpa Wolf's house and we had a GREAT TIME!

First, I try and go get a pedi and the lady tells me, "no, sowwy, no buddy here. I do her nails (she had a customer in front of her)." I ask her, "can I wait until your done?" "i have do her first..." I'm like ok whatever. damn it. I really wanted one. Dj had dropped me off and went around the corner to visit his friend Matt. I ask if her was home and ended up just walking around the corner to his house. We hang out for awhile and visit.
Then we go to Toys' R Us and do some DAMAGE! LOL. Well, we did get a case of diapers (228ct), gripe water, candy (for the movies), mylicon, a high chair cover, swim trunks for jayden (so cute), a 4th of july outfit and another lil cute frog outfit.
We were in the parking lot of Roger's Jewelers and decided to get out rings (and my earrings) cleaned. However, we discovered that my warranty had expired (it's already been over 5yrs!!). So I renew it, $100 dollars later....we're off.
Fill up at Chevron.
Go to Target and exchange the 3 pkgs of diapers (he's in size 2's now!) for formula. First time we are buying diapers since he's been born! All the diapers that we received at my baby showers lasted us 2 months!! So now we have 2 cases of diapers & still 1/2 a case of wipes. We're in good shape.
Then we go to Osaka Sushi. OUR FAVORITE. YUMMMMMMMMY!!
Walk over to United Artist and catch an 8 o'clock showing of Shrek Forever After in 3D. It was awesome!! We're loving the movie and keep looking at each other thinking we miss Jayden (it went along with the movie message). We keep mimicking Jayden's cooing with each other. He says,"aaaaaa-ooooo" So cute! Funny how you can't wait for a break then all you do is talk about you kid. lol.
Home bound, we come home and Dj instantly CRASHES (10:40). Me on the other hand am WIDE awake tryin to post some pics to my previous blogs, havin difficulty. Call it quits at 1:30 and last time I looked at the clock was 1:45! ugh.

I wake up at 10 (least I got 8 hrs) and Dj woke up at 9 (he got 10hrs, poor guy needed a recharge). I make some coffee...take some motrin my back was killin me and we go out to breakfast at IHOP. YUM!! I'm diggin pancakes lately. =) Dj got some blueberry pancakes that had creamcheese filling, yuck, they were so sweet it was crazy, he loved it.
Then we go to Natomas to go to Tilly's to return one of the shirts I bought him for his birthday. He uses the store credit and ends up getting 3 more shirts.
Then we walk across the way to Journey's to look at shoes. Dj is so damn picky about his shoes, that's why I could never pick them out for him. I'd choose them and he'd be unsure until he sees ALL options. LOL. He ends up getting a nice white pair of DC's with blue and black logo, they're nice. I try on a pair of converse shoes and love them! They are white with black and pink writing on it that says, "he loves me, he loves me not <3" and got a free pair of flip flops for spending $50 lol. score.
Then we go to AAA and update my policy (finally!) to my new name and add him on my policy. Wahooo.
We come home and relax, Jayden went with my mom to visit Great Great Aunt Helen (unfortunately he was being a lil booger at her house). Dj and I finally watch Avatar (we bought it a week ago). It was a WEIRD movie. I kept asking him what is this rated? There's cursing and killing! Thought it was more of a kid movie but guess not! He loved it, it was alright to me.
Tried to take a nap but no luck so I head over to my mom's around 5 to see my baby that I miss so much! It's been 24hrs since I've seen him!! He's asleep lookin so cute with his legs tucked in layin on his tummy in MY OLD ROOM ON MY OLD BED! So weird to grow up in that house since I was 10yrs old and now my baby is sleeping in there. =) He sleeps until 7, I feed him & change him and then we go over to Brie's Aunt Patty's house to visit. She's in town to pick up Cassie (her cousin who's going to visit for 3 wks) and is leavin tomorrow. I'm tempted to leave Jayden with Cassie and Aunt Patty but just decide to get him home for bed (plus I didn't have any formula with me and I ALWAYS DO!). So the girls went out and I came home with my lil precious, fed him and he's OUT! Put him in his crib and has been down since 9:30.
Dj is out hanging with the boys. I'm glad he could get some guy time, he deserves it.
And here I am, loungin on the couch, watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air crackin up & updatin my blog. =)

Tomorrow we are going to Mountain View to visit my sister in-law, Jayden's FIRST road trip! Wish us luck!

Night Owl

I don't think I've been up this late in awhile. I onced stayed up til midnight, but then quickly realized that I love my sleep too much. One thing I TRULY miss pre-baby is SLEEP!!! Man, sleeping in?! When will I ever be able to truly do that again?
Anyway, I'm sitting here on my couch, watchin Oprah, phone is dyin and my feet are freezing. I'm starting to get a little sleepy. Why is it so dang hard to wake up in the morning even when I get 8hrs?! Maybe I just need to bank some hours of zzzz and I'd be good....dunno when that's gonna happen.
Thinking a lot lately...sometimes I think maybe this blog should be private? In order to truly express ALL my thoughts? Not that I have anything to hide, but with possible readers you don't want to offend anyone. Then again, to hell with it it's how I feel right? hmmmm.... whatever. =) No biggie.
I'LL DO WHAT I WANT! haha

KLUTZ

So last night I go to take a shower after putting Jayden to bed. I accidently knock over the face wash, BAM! Opps, dang don't wanna wake up the baby! Then 5 min later I knock the big conditioner bottle off the top of shower door, BAM! Dang it! I get out of the shower and Dj informs me that he had to pat Jayden's back because I woke him up! LOL opps!
THEN I go into the kitchen to wash all the baby bottles to get ready for the night (I wash them all (4) and pre fill them with 4oz of water so we can quickly zap the water and make the bottles in the middle of the night). I go to put one of them on the counter and drop it, clink, clink, clink, clink it goes across the kitchen floor. I hear some comments from the peanut gallery (Dj on the couch) and laugh at myself. Still having a towel on my head, I decide to get myself a little ice cream before I go to bed. I open the freezer door and BAM, out falls the kit kat in the door! UGH! Dj comes in the kitchen and says, "seriously christy? go sit down! lol"
Needless to say I was knocking and dropping things over left and right.

HAHA- hopefully today will go more smoothly that last night!

Happy Bleepin Monday

Blah, it's Monday. I went to bed at 11 last night and Dj was snoooooooring. So Instead of kicking him to stop I decided to sleep in Jayden's room. However, I layed there thinking that I haven't slept in his room since he was 3-4 weeks old! Awwww time flys. He used to sleep in his swing next to the daybed in his room. I finally fell asleep probably at 1130. He woke up at 1, 3(changed his diaper), 420 and then 530 Dj took over. He was squirming in his crib I told Dj he just ate he doesn't need a bottle. Two minutes later he puked in his crib. Poor baby I don't think he's tummy feels good.

How do you determine whether it's spit up or throw up at 2mo old? =( I need to call his Dr today.

I went into our room and crawled into bed until 8 when Dj had to go to work. He laid Jayden down on our bed and he started falling asleep so I picked him up and put him in his own crib, he's been sleeping an hour and 20 min already. Sleepy head. I tried to go back to sleep and of course I couldn't my next door neighbor is doing construction or some landscaping to his backyard and it sounded like he was shoveling rock and then a gardener came (not ours, yet I expect ours today).

The Weekend must come to an end...

I hate it when the weekend ends! ugh. I have so much fun hanging out with my boys I never want it to end! Although, Dj only has to work until Wed and then has FIVE days off! YIPEEEEEEE.
We finally went to go see his mom today. We haven't been over there since (April 25th). It was nice Daniel & Steve came over too and we ordered pizza. Jayden is still really spitty =( I think I'm going to call his doctor tomorrow. It's been happening ever since his shots, a side affect I'm sure, but I still want to ask the advice nurse about it.
We still haven't watched Avatar. We bought it yesterday (?)...I just don't want to get interrupted or go off our schedule cause we'll all be effd. lol.

OHHHHH so my parents stop by this morning and my mom offers to take Jayden over night this coming Friday!!!!!! YAY!!! I'm so excited, Dj wanted to go to Tahoe! LOL, ya right. We got bills coming up and I'm not trying to spend money I just want to relax! Do NOTHING! I can NOT wait!! Picture me laying flat on my back in my living room floor in the shap of an "X"......get it? Ahhhhhh.....a BREAK.

Although I can't really complain. Dj has definitely given me a really good break this weekend especially after last night letting me sleep! He's such a sweetheart! I <3 him so much!!

Fully rested Sunday

So Dj took all the feedings of the night shift last night and I didn't even ask him to!! We both went to bed at 10 and when he woke up around 1:45 he got up! I was like, um ok fine with me (it's usually my feeding)! So I go back to sleep and he doesn't come back to bed....he goes and sleeps on the couch! WTF... he snores so im thinkin he's letting me get some sleep and he'll come back to bed. But he didn't. I hear Jayden wake up around 4:30 (I think) and heard him put the water in the microwave. I'm thinking, wow, well I'm definitely not going to protest! At 6:30 I hear Jayden fuss...so I get up and find them on the couch. I think Jayden was ready to go back to bed so we put him back down and both go back to bed. He wakes up at 8 and I get up and get him a bottle. I decide to go get Dj and I a bagel from the bagel shop down the street and a Starbucks. =) Off Jayden & I go, he's a good boy playing with his toy cow. He goes to sleep from 9:15-10 and all hell breaks loose. I get him another bottle and he eats 2 oz and then stops. I burp him, and he's squirming (obviously has a bubble). He wakes Dj up and he comes and grabs him and tries to get the burp out. He does. Guess Daddy's touch. He calms down for about 2min and he's back to cryin/screaming. What the hell. So he's trying to burp him again....gets another little bubble. I just think he has a upset tummy. I decide to give him a bath to try and calm him down hoping he'll pass out afterwards. He's almost to big for his little infant bath! He's already 2ft long! So I take the net off that sits on top and try putting him in the tub, except he's basically laying with his legs "Indian style" because he has no room (note to self: look for another bath tub). He's whinning the whole time and cryin while I get him dressed. I wrap a blanket around him and rock him to sleep. Finally, he's out. Man poor guy was not happy. I don't think he feels very good? =( But he has no other symptoms.
Dj and I are sitting here on the couch, finally eating our breakfast. He just made me laugh so hard I almost choked. Dj,"Don't I have nice legs? (as he extends his legs out and flexes)" Me, "ya, ya (eye rolling)" Dj, "Hey I've been told I have nice muscular legs! (punches me in the arm). Me, "Hey!" Dj,"Dont be a wuss, maybe I need to beat on you some more so you toughen up! Don't choke your gonna wake up the baby!"
LOL - this guy I swear, makes me laugh every day!

A great day of some R&R

Today was a great day to rest & relax! Jayden went to bed last night when we got home from picking him up from my mom's around 10 and he didn't wake up until 3:30am, YAY! Then slept until 6:30? Dj got up with him and I didn't wake up until 10! WAHOO! I woke up and Jayden was passed out in Dj's arms...think Dj was getting a little shut eye as well.
My cousin & Anthony came over this afternoon so that Dj could look at her car and see her dent. He basically pushed it all the way out almost, lol, she was happy. They stayed and visited for a little bit. Dj and I had Togo's for lunch. =) Jayden took good morning and late afternoon naps and we just hung out at home, as a family. I love it.
About 4:30 Dj is barely awake and I convince him to go lay down. Jayden wakes up at 5:15 and I feed him and I'm ready to go to Target. I go tell Dj I was going to go & he decides to get up and come so he's able to sleep tonight. Off to Target we go, Jayden played with his toy cow that's clipped to his car seat bar the WHOLE time. Get's a lil squirmy in his seat in Target, I take him out to hold him (which I never do) and 5 min later I'm thinkin, oh my lord this boy is killing my arm! HAHA. I've never held him for that long standing up before, let alone in a store. I have to hold my arm with my other hand just for support haha. He's on my shoulder just lookin around, I find Dj with the cart and put him back in and he crashes 2min later.
We leave Target, dressed in pajama's basically and I tell him if we were dressed we could go out to dinner now that he's passed out. We end up going to Shanghai Garden anyway and have some BOMB ass chineese food. mmmmmm. Chicken chow mein, broccoli beef & wonton soup. Delicious!! Dj goes to move his soup and ends up spilling it, haha. Then 1 min later he goes to set his glasses down and smacks it against his plate. We were laughing to hard. Jayden wakes up just as we were finishing, get the check & box and makes it home just in time for his next feeding. =)
He's been spitting up a lot more than usual lately...hmmmmm....no fever or other symptoms. It's way later after he's done eating too. I try to burp him 1/2 way (@4oz) but sometimes it doesn't matter. He'll burp wait like 30 seconds and up it comes. =(
We were going to watch a movie tonight, we bought Avatar at Target (haven't seen it) but it's already 9:30 and still trying to put Jayden down. He woke up at 7:30 so one more bottle and he'll go to bed. Dj's feeding him now but I think he wants to go to bed. I'll take over, it's past his bedtime anyhow!! =)

Date Night

In the process of dropping Jayden off at my mom's, we met at Once upon a child in Elk Grove to get some more clothes for Jayden. He's 2 months old and 2 feet long! He's growing so fast he needs more clothes (plus some summer jammies). I scored and got some pretty cute stuff there, damage $48. Then I run into Bath & Body works and stock up on the soaps that were on sale, damage $20. She takes Jayden to her house from there and I head home to meet Dj (he's on his way home from work).
I was home alone for a whole hour and found myself being quiet even though nobody was home. lol. I should of turned on my stereo and rocked out, haha.
Dj comes home and comes in Jayden's room where I am installing a new ink cartridge in the printer. We sit there, looking at each other and smile because we are ALONE. He isn't home 5 min before he tells me he wants Jayden home. LOL. Hey this is our time Mr! He apologetically smiles and says, "I just miss him already". Awwww. We decide to go to On the Border, I'm craving chips and salsa and we haven't been there in a long time. It was sooooooo good! We order guacamole, made at the table side and it was REALLY good (by far better than chevy's). I also have myself a nice little strawberry margarita =) We enjoy our dinner, and decide not to go to Target being already 20 to 9pm! We go to my mom's and discover Jayden hasn't slept at all! HE LOVES sitting in his carseat in the kitchen when my mom is cooking. He also has a toy cow clipped to the bar and hits that thing repeatedly! I give him a bottle before we head home and he's already falling alseep. He nursed it for almost 45 min dozing in and out, but it was ok we were watching an espisode of The Big Bang theory (?) sitcom that my brother was watching. That show is hilarious!
We head home and he is passed out. I put him in his crib and he slept until 3:30am!! SWEET DEAL!
Needless to say we had a great night!

My thoughts

So I'm justifying blogging only because I discovered blogging to book! WHAT?! That's awesome! I always pictured all my journals winding up in some of my family member's hands after I am gone. Reading what I've written about my life. Although, here, you don't see the aged penmenship. HAHA, which is maybe best...although I've always received compliments about my nice handwriting. Ah well =)

Jayden finally went down for a nap. He spit up a LOT after his last bottle, so I figured bath time!! Only I layed him down after that, and he spit up all over himself, changed clothes, then he pooped. So much for going to Grandma's house all nice a clean! Now I need to shower & get ready before he wakes up wanting another bottle.

We're going to my mom's this afternoon. I'm going to try and get a pedicure, maybe go to once upon a child and see if they have anything I want. Possible go to target and do some damage, debating whether I want to go with Dj or not, it will probably be easier on the wallet if I go alone. My mom's going to watch Jayden for awhile & Dj and I are going to have a date night. Although I think we're probably going to have dinner and then just spend the evening alone, in bed, lol. Last night we had a little time to snuggle and watch tv cause jayden was out of it from his shots and was sleeping. It was so nice just to relax, lie down, not have to do anything. I'd like another shot at that tonight, rent a movie maybe even order pizza or something.

Well I'm on the clock to get what I need done before his nap is over...adios!
